Emily 'Kimmy' Kim
Kimmy began volunteering for PSPF in early 2024 during their first growing season, and became a board member soon after. As a board member she has been involved with volunteer coordination, website maintenance, and the finance committee, as well as regular farm work at Ovenell. Kimmy volunteers with PSPF because this project combines her passions of strengthening community relationships, developing people’s plant tending and food growing knowledge, and increasing access to fresh, local produce. For Kimmy, this is all important for a thriving community.
Kimmy currently co-owns and operates Eternity Farm on Camano, which has an farmstand, and is getting a Master’s degree in Anthropology and Social Change. She is also involved with Camano Helping Hands, the Mutual Aid Assembly of Stanwood-Camano, and additionally helped start a regular pot luck series for a group of local friends. Kimmy has been living on Camano since 2020.
